Exis Technologies and Locus Software sign partnership agreement
Exis Technologies and Locus Software are pleased to announce a partnership agreement following the successful integration of Exis Technologies’ Hazcheck Toolkits dangerous goods validation system into Locus Software’s Odyssey ERP platform. The agreement will allow Locus to offer Hazcheck within Odyssey to shipping lines on a global basis.
Hazcheck Toolkits provides dangerous goods data packages and routines for incorporation into cargo booking, handling and planning systems. It ensures accuracy of data validation between shippers and container lines, which reduces errors and delays in the booking process. Integration of the toolkits with the Odyssey platform allows customers real-time access to required DG information from within their ERP system. The dangerous goods data is updated whenever there is a change to the regulations, ensuring that the most up to date information is always available.
John Squire, Founder and CEO of Locus Software commented: “Our Odyssey solution for the shipping industry is a powerful end-to-end platform proving full ERP functionality whilst also incorporating powerful collaboration and communication solutions. As we also act as a software aggregator for value added services it was natural for us to work with Exis Technologies, the leader in compliance systems for shipping dangerous goods by sea. We have been using Hazcheck Toolkits at Locus for some time and it has greatly improved the accessibility and quality of DG data for our customers.”
James Douglas, Director, Exis Technologies commented: “Exis has been supplying Hazcheck Toolkits for integration into existing systems for over ten years. We are delighted to be working with Locus Software to offer a value added solution by further enhancing the wide functionality they offer in their Odyssey platform.
