Exis Technologies representative joins Dangerous Goods Trainers Association

Exis Technologies has nominated a representative to join the Dangerous Goods Trainers Association (DGTA). Will Bartle, Compliance and Regulations Manager at Exis, who is responsible for creating e-learning course content with industry consultants, will be the company’s representative.

The DGTA is a non-profit organization with a global membership that promotes and develops exceptional competencies in dangerous goods professionals and instructors worldwide. The DGTA membership achieves this through education, communication, networking and voluntary professional certification. DGTA’s ultimate goal is to enhance the safe transportation of dangerous goods through effective training and the development of highly competent dangerous goods professionals.

Exis has been developing e-learning courses since 2010 when IMDG Code training became mandatory for shore side staff involved in the handling and transport of dangerous goods in Chapter 1.3 of the IMDG Code produced by the International Maritime Organization. IMDG Code e-learning, which is sponsored by the TT Club and supported by ICHCA, has been updated at each new Amendment over the past 11 years and is now based on Amendment 40-20. Exis has also developed container packing e-learning courses and more recently tank container e-learning in partnership with the International Tank Container Organisation (ITCO) both of which can be applied to the transport of dangerous and non-dangerous goods.
