NCB Hazcheck (Exis Technologies) has won at the inaugural BUSINESSiQ North-East Awards
At the recent BUSINESSiQ Awards hosted by the Northern Echo, NCB Hazcheck was presented with the Innovation award, a win based largely on the success of Hazcheck Solutions, which are used by many of the worlds’ largest container lines including Maersk, ONE and Hapag Lloyd.
Hazcheck Detect is used to detect mis-declared and undeclared dangerous goods and other identifiable cargoes of interest. Booking data is screened against thousands of complex rules in real time, giving results from Hazcheck Detect within seconds using cloud-based technologies. Clients receiving results from Hazcheck Detect can challenge their customers on suspicious bookings quickly and act prior to loading to vessel or arrival at quay, avoiding any potentially dangerous consequences.
Hazcheck Learn is an e-learning training platform, providing access to training courses compliant with regulations for the shipment of Dangerous Goods including IMDG, ADR and 49CFR. Courses are designed by industry experts and are sponsored and supported by key partners including TT Club, ICHCA and ITCO.
Hazcheck Validate is a tool to validate declared dangerous goods cargo. Approximately 10% of containerised shipments are declared Dangerous Goods. Shipping lines use Hazcheck Validate to verify that the declared dangerous goods cargo complies with the IMDG Code stowage, segregations packaging and other local rules and restrictions. More than 400,000 validations are made with Hazcheck Validate per month representing more than 80% of the world’s DG container traffic. Around 4,000 items are identified as being non-compliant with rules and regulations and may be intercepted prior to loading.
