Taking its name from the Bay of Bengal where Bengal Tiger Line (BTL) first established its origins as a Common Feeder, the line now operates well beyond its Indian core sector covering the Far East and the Arabian Gulf sectors.
BTL’s philosophy is to deploy modern reliable tonnage with ample capacity to cater for any seasonal fluctuations. With up to 40 scheduled vessels in the service fleet (including VSA arrangements) sizes range from 650 to 2500 teu and the average age is less than 12 years.
In line with its high operating standards, BTL uses Hazcheck Workstation to control dangerous goods on sailings and in acceptance procedures.
“The easy facilitation of checking DG details and final safe acceptance via Hazcheck Workstation provides a real comfort factor as well as speeding up our efficiency to clients.” says BTL Operations Manager, Lester Choo.
Hazcheck Workstation is the powerful but user-friendly tool for shippers, forwarders, agents and ship operators to check DG shipments and produce documentation. It displays key information, validates a mixed load for IMDG Code segregation compliance, and displays relevant packaging options. A Dangerous Goods Note can be produced in PDF format
